RELEASE: AINSWORTH ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

STATE REP. WILL AINSWORTH TO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE CAMPAIGN FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AT GUNTERSVILLE RALLY ON JUNE 24

Guntersville, - State Rep. Will Ainsworth (R - Guntersville) will officially announce his candidacy for lieutenant governor during a kick-off rally scheduled for Saturday, June 24, at 6 p.m. at the Guntersville Town Hall, which is located at 341 Gunter Avenue.

Ainsworth, who was elected in 2014, currently represents Alabama’s House District 27, which includes portions of Marshall, DeKalb, and Blount counties.

Since joining the Alabama House, Ainsworth has set himself apart from other members as a strong champion for ethics reform. A member of the House Ethics Committee, he signed Articles of Impeachment against former Gov. Robert Bentley and introduced strict term limits legislation. He also sponsored a recall measure that would allow voters to remove public officials who abuse their office.

He has strongly supported other commonsense conservative causes, such as abolishing Obamaera Common Core mandates, implementing strong pro-life measures that position Alabama to take advantage when Roe v. Wade is overturned, and opposing all state tax increases on the citizens of the state.

A small business owner, he operates Dream Ranch, one of the most recognized hunting and fishing lodges in the United States. and is founder of the Tennessee Valley Hunting and Fishing Expo. which draws more than 20,000 attendees annually and is one of the largest trade shows of its kind in the southeast.

Ainsworth and his wife, Kendall, has three children - a daughter, Maddie, and twin boys, Hunter and Hays. They are members of Grace Fellowship Church in Albertville.
